How We Work: Your OSP Manufacturers’ Representative in Michigan and the Midwest
OSP Materials is a manufacturers’ representative, not a distributor. We represent a short list of outside plant manufacturers, LYNDDAHL, Axiom Connectivity, American Polymer Company (APC), Copperhead and Acome, and help contractors, ISPs, utilities and engineers specify, quote and source their products. We don’t hold inventory or resell material, so we never add a markup to your price. Our job is to make the manufacturer easier to work with.
Manufacturers’ rep vs. distributor: what’s the difference?
A distributor buys product, stocks it, and resells it at a margin. A manufacturers’ rep works on behalf of the manufacturer: we are the factory’s local technical and commercial contact for the territory. For you that means:
- No rep markup. You don’t pay OSP Materials anything. Pricing comes from the manufacturer, and our compensation comes from the manufacturer.
- Quotes direct from the source. Quotes come straight from the manufacturer or through OSP Materials on the manufacturer’s behalf, and orders ship from the factory or its authorized channel. You keep your distributor if you prefer one, and we can work with them too.
- Spec help before you bid. We help engineers and designers choose the right sizes, wall types, ratings and configurations, and we provide data sheets, drawings and install guidance.
- Lead-time help. We track factory lead times and production schedules so you can plan builds and avoid surprises on long-lead items.
- One contact for several lines. Microduct, optics, enclosures, tracer wire and cable all go through one person, who knows how the pieces fit together on an outside plant job.
Who we work with
- Contractors and OSP crews: fast quotes, submittal packages, and someone to call when the field throws a curveball.
- ISPs, co-ops and utilities: help standardizing materials across a build, and early lead-time visibility for planning.
- Engineers and designers: spec language, product data and comparisons so the design works the way you drew it.
The lines we represent
LYNDDAHL microduct and conduit systems
Our top line. LYNDDAHL builds customizable HDPE microduct and conduit systems (single ducts, bundles, thick or thin wall, smooth or ribbed interiors) for air-blown fiber and long-life pathways. We help you size and configure LYNDDAHL microduct for plow, trench or directional installs. Learn about LYNDDAHL. LYNDDAHL territory: Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Axiom Connectivity optics
Axiom Connectivity makes optical transceivers, patch cables and active network components for carrier and enterprise networks. We help you match optics to your equipment and get quotes moving. Learn about Axiom.
American Polymer Company (APC) enclosures
APC makes tier-rated polymer concrete handholes, vaults and pull boxes for grade-level access points. OSP Materials quotes APC directly. Learn about APC.
Copperhead tracer wire
Copperhead tracer wire and locating products keep buried fiber and conduit findable for decades. Learn about Copperhead.
Acome fiber cable
Acome fiber optic cable solutions, specified and quoted through OSP Materials alongside your pathway and enclosure materials.
See every line on the Partners page.

We cover Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. All lines are available in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Axiom covers all four states, including Illinois. LYNDDAHL is represented in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. See the Territory page for the full map.
How a project works with OSP Materials
- Tell us about the job: route length, install method, counts, schedule and any spec or funding requirements.
- We help with the spec: product selection, data sheets and configuration options.
- You get a quote: direct from the manufacturer or through OSP Materials, with current lead times.
- We stay on it: order follow-up, delivery coordination, and field questions through install.
A note on compliance documentation
Some manufacturers publish their own Build America, Buy America (BABA) or domestic-content statements for certain products. When a project requires them, we pass along the manufacturer’s own documentation. Any compliance claim is the manufacturer’s, and you should confirm it against your project’s requirements.
